The big white scoring machine, lead by Doug Kirton and Dave Bannerman, applied awesome pressure in the Wainfleet end. Impressive defensive plav by Wayne Allen, Steve Chalmers, Mike Hall. andDanny Clement, backed by the solid netminding of Steve Cochrane, left the outcome of the game in little doubt. Rodger Allen put Elmvale into an early lead on passes from Kirton and Chalmers. Shortly thereafter, Dannv Clement blasted a point shot on a drop pass from Kirton. Darren. Flagg, the Wainfleet centre who was responsible for a devastating attack against other teams in the tournament, picked up a careless Elmvale pass and cruised in to make the score 2-1. Dave Bannerman scored twice in the third period to give Elmvale 'the luxury of coasting during the final minutes of what had been a hard- checking, end-to-end game Kirton assisted on both the Bannerman goals. with Mike Hall picking up an assist as well Outstanding forec- hecking by Greg Miller, Paul Bumstead, Paul Steele.
