Miss Marguerite Moore. daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Moore. died suddenly at her home. The funeral took place on Saturday with burial in Victoria Harbour Union Cemetery. Mrs. Leslie Winfield is an aunt of Miss Moore. Henry Vander OSAP increases good news Students in Midland and Penetanguishene and elsewhere in Ontario are planning to attend post-secondary classes in the upcoming school year; received some good news recently when Bette Stephenson, colleges and universities minister announced an increase in funding for the Ontario Student Assistance Program. The amount of money available for the program will be in- creased 16.4 percent up to $98.2 million. That is an increase of $13.8 million over last year Of that amount, $4.2 © million has been set aside to meet increased tuition fees faced by students. Other changes af- fecting the program include an increase in the personal and living allowance for single students living away from home from $72 to $77 ner week under Ontario's grant plan. In addition to that, the maximum grant for indenendant single students will jump from $1.000 to $1,100 per term or semester. Students will also be expected to contribute more from summer earnings, that amount now $60, an increase of $10 from last year. If students have trouble finding a summer job, they can appeal this amount but thev must document their job search to qualifv.
