Each couple was given a Kub Kar Kit and it was up to them to design and make their own cars. Everyone had a chance to let their imaginations go wild. By the looks of things, some people did exactly that. A delicious turkey supper was served with all the trimmings and it was topped off with~a pineapple angel food cake with a dash of whipped cream. The meal was great and was enjoyed by all. Ernie _ Latanville, district commissioner presented Chris Merrit, from Port MeNicoll with his Wood Badge. Our congratulations are extended to Chris for a job well done. Following supper, the Kub Kar race took place. There were winners and losers but everyone got the thrill of racing their own car down the track. A trophy was presented to Mr. and Mrs. Larry McDavid for placing first in the speed race. Second place was taken by Reverend Mrs. Jim Manuel and third by William and Robin Nutbrown. Marcel Maurice and Page 20, Wednesday, ae the Northerners en- tertained us for the evening and the dance floor was very busy all night. A "door" prize was presented to Ernie Latanville. The cake was donated = and decorated by Debbie Phillips which was in the shape of a car. The dinner / dance proved to be a great success. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the ladies for the fabulous meal, Sandy and Doug Reynolds for organizing the event. SPEED CATEGORY: - 1.
