Olympia rolls over Bike Shop 7-3 Midland Novice House League hockey action was fast Saturday at Midland Centennial Arena when Olympia Sport defeated Bike Shop 7-3. MSS boys won their first game over Bracebridge 54-49, Bob Devine leading MSS with 11 points. Tim Grenier, Doug Woods and Bill Richardson each scored seven points in that game. MSS also took the ~ second game against Gravenhurst as they won that match 49-39. Tim Grenier and Bob Devine each scored 16 Junior girls undefeated Midland Secondary School's junior girls' volleyball team com- pleted their regular season undefeated, their last win coming Thursday in Elmvale. Midland juniors downed Elmvale 15-4 and 15-9 in their final two games. MSS midget girls won their first game against Elmvale 15-13 but dropped the second game 15-8. They then came back to win the third game and the match by beating Elmvale 17-15. Midland's _ seniors never seemed to get started and dropped their first game 15-8. Big win for Olympia Sports Midland's Olympia Sport Novice House League hockey team played to an 11-3 victory over Penetanguishene's Maple Leafs at Midland Centennial Arena Friday in an exhibition game. Gary Miller scored five goals for Midland with double tallies coming from Shawn Lalonde and Chris Larmand. Single markers came from Kevin Hemsworth and Jeff Callas while assists were handed to Chris Larmand and Cory Asselin. Roy Monday scored two goals for Penetanguishene and Jeremy Legault had one goal in that game. In Penetanguishene Arena Friday, Midland's IUE Novice House League team played an exhibition hockey game against Penetanguishene's Nordiques, the end result being a 2-2 tie. Danny Sibley ac- counted for Midland's two goals with assists going to Jason Nicoll, Dean Moreau and Cory Hansen. Scoring for' the Nordiques were Paul Watson and Keith Robillard. Assists were given to Derik Lotton, Steven Ritenie, Mark Piotrowski and Thor Hervieux. Dupuis top goalie Wayne Dupuis of Dock Lunch in Penetanguishene Recreation Hockey has captured top honours for goaltenders in that league, having only allowed 64 goals in the regular season.
