In the finals, St. Theresa's came up against St. Joe's of North Bay again, winning two of the five games they played, finishing second overall. Midland won the first game 15-12 but lost the second game 15-8, and then gave up the third game 15-12. They fought back though to win the fourth game 15-10 to tie the match at two games apiece. The fifth game was close and very well played but St. Theresa's came out on the short end of a 15-10 victory as St. Joe's of North Bay took first place. This was by far the strongest showing for the girls' team this season with Patti Cox and Mary Pat Quilty playing outstanding games throughout the tournament. Flew From N.S.
