Passenger in accident sustains minor injury Roger Desroches, 18, of Veil Drive, was slightly injured Sunday at 2 a.m. in an ac- cident on County Road 26. He was one of two passengers in a car driven by Frank Hall, 19, of Con. 4, Tiny Township, Wyevale. The driver of the other vehicle was a Newmarket man, Kenneth Fournier, 23. Both vehicles were eastbound on County Road 26 just east of County Road 6, when Hall pulled his car onto the shoulder to allow Fournier's pick-up truck to pass. The pick-up ran into the rear of the Hall car. Fournier has been charged with careless driving. Accident at King and Yonge Sunday Early Sunday afternoon a Glen Eagles Crescent, Midland, man and two juveniles received minor injuries in an automobile accident at a main intersection in Midland. Town police say, Daniel Thompson, 27, of Eighth Street, Midland, and two unidentified juveniles, were in a car that tried to turn left from King Street onto Yonge Street West. The other car, travelling the opposite direction, south, on King Street, was driven by Robert Dunn, 19, of Glen Eagles Crescent. Thompson was charged after the accident with making an improper left turn. $15,000 fire on Yeo Street A fire that spread from an overheated wood stove to the surrounding basement of a Yeo Street house late last Thursday caused $15,000 damage, says Fire Chief Ted Light. _ Firemen attended the fire in the house at 120 Yeo Street belonging to Donat Quesnelle just before 5 p.m. The fire did not spread beyond the basement. It was quickly ex- tinguished. Saturday at 8:28 p.m. firemen were called to the Mike's Milk property to hose away gasoline that had spilled from a ruptured gas tank.
