Page 4, Friday, December 12, 1980 Tiny Twp. council briefs Councillor Hamelin recovering nicely' by Adrienne Graham Gardner Councillor Ron Hamelin of Tiny Township 1S "recovering nicely" in Penetang General Hospital following his recent heart attack, according to Tiny clerk, Guy Maurice. Hamelin had been released from hospital in Toronto earlier, but was re- admitted to PGH and was under intensive care until Tuesday. Overhead Bridge The overhead bridge at the west end of Robert St. just outside Penetang has_ been removed by Tiny road crews. It had been decided to ask for tenders for the removal, but the road crew was available and removed the bridge almost overnight with the help of a_ hired backhoe and loader. Clerk Guy Maurice says "People wanted to know if it blew away overnight." Such is not the case, but the township saved a considerable sum by using its own men to do the job. All materials recovered will be stored by the township. Wvebridge Recreation Loan Tiny township has made a loan of $3,000 to the Wyebridge Parks and Recreation Com- | mittee to cover capital costs of furnace and pumphouse __installat- ions. The Committee is expecting grants from the province to cover the bills in the new year, and provided Ministry of Culture and Recreation guarantees as collateral for the loan. Portable Generators The 'Tiny Fire Department has' been authorized to buy four portable 1500 watt electric generators. The McCullough generators will be used by each of the Tiny firehalls to power smoke ejectors and search lights. Each member of the Tiny fire department has been provided with an electronic "beeper"' to notify them of fire calls. Born and raised in Midland Dan, his wife Janet and their two children recently bought an eighth street bungalow and are now looking forward to the good years.
