High single awards for each of the 3 games rolled were won by Yvonne Desroches with 227, Betty Ann Lesperance with 241 and Jeannette Lorette with 251. The next tournament will be held Jan. 4, 1981 at seven p.m. at Knight Haven Lanes. Midland's Jules Marion rolled 2,400 for the last 10 games of the Carlings Open Tour- nament held in Orillia last weekend. Jules clinched seventh spot among the men bowlers with a total score of 4,750 to earn a spot on the mixed team that will represent Huronia at the Ontario Championships. Dennis Brabant rolled 4,570 to finish 15th and Louis Maurice rolled slightly over 2,500 as both bowlers at one time or another were close to the last qualifying place. Bill "Shotgun" Puddicomb from Penetanguishene managed to roll a high single of 319 in one of the games to win a $15 cash prize. Doug Summers scored a hat trick for Summers' Trophies, two of those unassisted. His third goal was assisted by Cory McGibbon. Sean Mcllravey scored two unassisted goals for Summers' Trophies in that game. Other goal getters for Summers' Trophies were Greg Moreau from Sean Mcllravey and Wally Legault unassisted. Scoring for I.U.E. was done by Danny Sibley unassisted, Mike Maheu unassisted and Brent Smith from Donald Kruger. His first goal was assisted by Chris Leonard while his second goal was unassisted. Leonard scored his own goal with an assist from Chuck Quesnelle and Quesnelle also scored a goal, assists going to Steve Graham and Brent Armstrong. Brandy Spring scored for Kid's Stuff as well with Dean Scott assisting on the goal. Oldtimers play Penetanguishene Brule Hotel Oldtimers will be in action tonight in Penetanguishene Arena when they will be facing off against Elmvale Georgian Bay Oldtimers. That game will start at 8:15 p.m. So far, this season, the oldtimers have five wins in five games, their latest wins coming Thursday over Hebner's Taxi of Midland Recreation Hockey 7-5 and Sunday morning in Orillia 7-5 in their second of a home and home series with that team. The team now hold one silver and two gold medals in hockey tournaments plus a gold medal in baseball.
