Six injured on Port McNicoll Road Two of six people sent to Huronia District Hospital, Friday evening, by ambulance after a two-car collision on the Port MeNicoll Road were seriously injured, Midland OPP reports. Early crash kills two A tragic morning accident on Highway 27 at the Baseline Road last Saturday took the lives of two young men and left three more people injured. According to Elmvale OPP the collision occurred around 10:45 a.m. when a pick-up, driven by George Reynolds of R.R. 1, Elmvale, was southbound on Highway 27. Police say then it struck a car that had been westbound on the Baseline Road. The driver of the second car, 18-year-old Miles Routley of Toronto received major injuries while two passengers, Paul Ramsbottom aged 17 of Toronto and Michael Stevens aged 20, of Don Mills, were killed in the collision. Another passenger, Christopher Bond, aged 17 received major injuries also, while the driver of the pick-up, George Reynolds, received minor injuries as a result of the mishap. Called to the scene of the accident, were Flos- Elmvale firemen with their rescue equipment the "Jaws of Life'"' as well as the Simcoe Rescue Squad. Equipment had to be used to extricate the victims from the demolished vehicles. Immediately following the crash, Routley was rushed to Orillia's Soldiers Memorial Hospital then transferred to Toronto General while Bond was taken to Huronia District then move to Scarboro General. Damage to the Reynolds truck was set at $9,000 and the Routley car received $2,000. OPP constable H. Corswandt of the Elmvale detachment is still investigating. Where did you, say it was??
