Harold Graham Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Melvern Isaac last Wednesday and Thursday were Mr. Fred Woodward and Miss Rita Woodward of Willowdale. Sunday visitors with the Isaacs were Miss Kay McBride and Miss Margaret Allison of Taronto. Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Wagner and son Volkev from Rodheim, West Germany are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Erich Wagner. Emmaline Edwards of Toronto spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Manley Edwards. Mrs. John Moriarty has returned home after enjoying a boat trip with Mr. Moriarty. Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Smitham and family of Midland visited with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smitham. Mrs. Tricia Waples received her 4-H Advanced Honours Award for completion of 18 homemaking clubs at the Achievement Night held at Little Lake Park last Thursday evening for the summer unit "Outdoor Living". Four members of the Vasey Venturers also com- pleted the club: Laurie Graham, asst. leader, Sylvia Jones, Michelle Patterson and Cathy Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Orval Edwards and Gregory visited with Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Gratrix and family of Bewdley for the weekend. The Vasey United Wa werley news by Cindy Lockhart Happy birthday to Miss Kelly Laycock, on Monday, July 28, she celebrated her ist bivth- day. Visitors with Mrs. Winnie Armstrong this past weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Arm- strong and girls from Cambridge, Mr: and Mrs. Bill Earle and family from Pickering and Miss Lorna Lamb and Mr. Clar Rose from Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Curry and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Crawford of R.R. 1, Midland, have just returned home after a weeks holiday, where they toured their way down to La Salle, Illinois, U.S.A. While there, they visited with the Curry's son and his family,' Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Curry. This is the last week for our Silent Auction at the Centre. If you haven't been up yet, please be sure and go before Saturday mor- ning. The bidding closes off at noon. If you did bid and would like to see if you got the article, you are welcome to come to the Centre on Saturday. The beef barbecue are now fast approaching and if you would like tickets please call now as they are going fast. Both these events are sponsored by _ the Waverley Recreation, and the proceeds will go to help support our Community Centre and Community Park. 4-H Sheep Club news by Lloyd Woodrow The North Simcoe 4-H Sheep Club held its monthly meeting at the home of Doug Wright. The 4-H co-ordinator, Marilyn Bidgood, our leader Doug Wright plus six 4-H members were- present. Doug showed us how to prepare a lamb for show, by washing, combing and carting. After the meeting Mrs. Wright served the club refreshments and this was appreciated by all. Ag grads up 615 diploma students from Ontario's agricultural college graduated this year, a 5 per cent increase in 1979 figures. Enrolment in the four colleges of agricultural technology is also up this year. Gryphon Theatre of Barrie Church will hold their Auction Sale in the Vasey Community Park on Saturday, Aug. 2at 12 noon. Many useful and interesting items will be auctioned as well as home baking and crafts. During the weekend there were two family reunions held in the Park. On Saturday, approximately 75 members of the Jones family enjoyed a picnic and reunion. Those attending were from St. Catherines, Toronto, Mississauga and the surrounding area. On Sunday ap- proximately 90 mem- bers of the Rumney family gathered for a noon picnic lunch and reunion. Visitors were present from Coboconk, Walkerton, Richmond Hill, Toronto, Weston, Orillia, Gormley, Lindsay and the surrounding area. Also attending were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Waring (Audrey nee Rumney) of Hamilton, New Zealand, and Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Jenkins of Canberra, Australia. Visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Benke and Andrew are Karl Goehler and Petra Goehler of Munich and Cilli Goehler of Passau. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Graham of Toronto visited during the weekend with Mrs. George McLay.
