Huronia calendar Saturday, June 28 -- The ladies' Guild of St. James Church On- the-Lines, Penetanguishene, is holding a Strawberry Tea and Bake Sale from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Parish Hall, Church Street. Everyone welcome. -- A bake, book and white elephant sale is to be held at the Surf in Balm Beach, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sale is sponsored by the C.B.O. Police chase theft suspects Haliburton's Service Centre in Hillsdale was the starting point for a chase which led Elm- vale OPP on a tour of Hillsdale, then Barrie and then to an area north of Elmvale, early last Sunday morning. Police say a 12-volt battery was stolen from the back of a pick-up truck owned by Mount St. Louis Ski Resort and driven by Joseph Hunter, while at the Station last weekend. Police arrived in time to chase the suspects by car from Hillsdale to Barrie and on to the village where they were stopped just north of here. The battery was recovered and _ two Midland -men_ were charged with theft under $200 as a result of the incident. Charged are Robin John Parker aged 21, of Midland and Michael Proulx, aged 19 of Midland.
