Miss Kim Webb, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Webb, was married to Mr. Larry LaBrash, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent LaBrash of Perkinsfield. The wedding took place at St. Patrick's Church, Perkinsfield at 4:00 p.m. July 22nd. Father Laurin officiated. A _ lovely reception and dance followed in the Elmvale 'community Hall. Mr. Mark Walten, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Walten of Wyevale also chose Saturday July 22nd as his Wedding Day. He was joined in marriage to Miss Susan Belcourt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvain Belcourt of Perkinsfield. 'Their wedding also took place in St. Patrick's Church, Perkinsfield at 2:30 p.m. Father Laurin thought that they must all be very much in love to choose such a hot day for the occasion. Several showers preceeded these events. Monday, July 17th a community shower was held for Mark and his bride-to-be. They received many beautiful gifts. The week before on July 13th, a _ lovely Community shower was held at the Wyevale Orange Centre for Kim Webb and Larry LaBrash. A short time prior to this, the family held a shower for Kim at Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Webb's at Wasaga Beach. 'Phe Wyevale and area people went all out to welcome a Band from Scotland on the afternoon of July 23rd. The Park held a huge crowd that eagerly anucinated the Scottish music. This was a return Band that had welcomed a group from Barrie, directed by Mrs. Hilda Sibthorpe's daughter, earlier in the year. Miss Jeanne Webb and Mrs. Frankie Garzoni were home for a few days, having spent three weeks at a church camp near Picton. They still have more to attend with their Book Stands. The Free Methodist Church Congregation is very happy to welcome their Pastor, the Reverend David Moore, back for another year. Their Conference was held early in July near Picton. \ Mr. and Mrs. Bob Nerpin spent a couple9of days with Mrs. ° Verna Nerpin and Family, the middle of July. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Fischer and Family have moved out West. We are sorry to see them leave the Community. The Pine Ridge Women's Institute had an interesting trip July 12th. They toured Saint James- on-the Lines, Penetang and Sainte Marie-among- the-Hurons. Two hours weren't enough for the 13 adults and 6 children who went, to take in all the interesting sights. Part of the group went on to see the Shrine. Janice Marcellus of Orillia was home for a few days, after a holiday in Ottawa and in Quebec. Mrs. Margaret Mar- cellus had a cousin and a friend, Mrs. Eleanor Jenkins from Powell River, British Columbia, to visit her for a few days. Mrs. Helen Todd and daughter Audrey Ferrari from Woodstock and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jackson from Bracebridge, also cousins, came to see them while here. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Caston and family en- joyed a camping trip to Ottawa. Mr. and Mrs. James Large celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniver- sary Sunday, July 30th. Family and relatives, over 60 all told, gathered at Jim Large's for a mily dinner out on the n beside the pool. The ited Church Women ery capably catered the scrumptious meal. Relatives were there from as far away as Alberta. Open-house was held in the evening for the happy couple. A great many relatives, friends and neighbours gathered out onthe lawn to wish Bessie and Jim a Happy Anniversary. with supermarket prices.
