He has made many television appearances with his seeing eye dog Gretchen Dr. Marks has also been featured on radio Everyone is invited to hear Dr. Marks speak at the Knox Presbyterian Church on Sunday Table tennis club meets Approximately 20 table tennis enthusiasts, both men and women, met on Wednesday, March 1 at the YMCA to form the Midland Table Tennis Club The following executives were chosen President--Hans___ Neitz, Vice-President--Tony Farrell Treasurer Artur Hemming Secretary--Ling Seto Plans were initiated to find a suitable location for the club and it is hoped activities will commence within the next three weeks One of the main ob jectives of the club will be to promote and encourage the game amongst the youth of the area and in particular, develop a competitive team to challenge other clubs The next meeting is scheduled for Wed nesday, March 15 at the Windrifter Restaurant at 7:30 p.m Anyone interested in joining the club should plan to attend the meeting or contact Ling Seto at 526-2523 Volleyball squad wins twice Midland's Women's Volleyball team downed both Cookestown and Barrie Wednesday, to finish in second place in the Simcoe County Women's Volleyball League Midland finished second to Collingwood in the league and played their semi- final match against Cookestown last night at Canadian' Forces Base Borden The cham pionship final match was to have been played immediately after, with both series being best two out of three Midland coach Bruce Finlayson held out high hopes for his team and looked for Midland to meet Collingwood in the championship final "It would be an upset if Collingwood lost in the semi-finals, and we should have no trouble beating Cookestown. We beat Collingwood once in the regular season, but they are the number one team, so our girls are going to have to play well to win."
