He was born in Penetanguishene and attended school there. His banking career of 22 years began in the Bank of Toronto in Penetanguishene. ||| health forced him to give this up and he became & field manager with the Fuller Brush Co. for twenty years. At the time of death he had been retired for five years. "Champ" as he was commonly called, was known for his musical abilities.
