Georgian presents play Who is going crazy in the Flinder household? Or, are the "'little people" to blame for the con- fusion? Members of the public are invited to decide for themselves when Georgian College Theatre Workshop students present the madcap farce "How Green Was My Brownie?" today and tomorrow at Georgian College Theatre, Barrie. Curtain time for the three-act comedy by Jack Sharkey is 8:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door. Set near Tarrytown, New York, where some people set out saucers of milk at night for the "brownies", the play is an hilarious combination of intended and _ unin- tended deceptions and misconceptions There's Winifred Flinder (Ronnie Martin of Barrie), supposedly just out of the hospital, who insists she actually spent the two weeks living it up in Paris; her husband Addison (Heber Boone of Barrie), who thinks his wife plans to go into the convent, and their daughter Bonnie (Sharon Simmers of Cambridge), who suspects both her parents are a bit nuts. Nurse Maxine Threadgill (Teresa Bialecki of Oshawa) thinks the neighboring piano teacher Waldo Lennimer (Ian Mills of Penetanguishene) is a great pediatric surgeon and housekeeper Nora Larkin (Sue Finbow of Huntsville) expects at any moment to be murdered in her bed Other members of the east include Bob Lund- sted of Barrie as Philip Morgan, Sheryl Keith of RR4, Bowmanville, as Lorelie Gullock, Mare Pinault of CFB Borden as Tony Metzel, Roger Lesperance of RRI1, Perkinsfield, as Henri Marnier, and Tony Lock- wood of Barrie as Gun- ther Chowdy. "How Green Was My Brownie?" is a student effort, on stage and off. Georgian College Theatre Workshop is comprised of more than 40 students enrolled in Theatre Workshop and Stagecraft electives given by the College's English and Humanities Department. Theatre Workshop Instructor Judy Watson is director of the play and Stagecraft Instructor Gerald Allaby is technical director The theatre, through these two courses, has become a common meeting ground for arts and science students at the College Wyebridge Notes by Joy Maynard This being the first news bulletin we would like to thank Ted Watson and Bob Davies for the splended job of coaching the ""Wyebridge Squirts' and succeeding on getting the team into the finals There is a parks and recreation committee meeting at the Wyebridge Community Hall November 30 at 8:00 p.m. Everyone is urged to attend.
