a a Sy Waubaushene WI entertains Coulson at garden party by Charlotte Gerdes On Wednesday ternoon, June 15, the Waubaushene Women's Institute entertained the Coulson W.I. and the Friday afternoon Euchre Party ladies with a garden party at the home af- of Mrs. Marianne Carroll. Thirty-nine women at- tended. The meeting was opened with the W.I. members repeating the Institute Ode and Creed. The President Charlotte Gerdes welcomed the visitors and a_ special welcome was extended to Mrs. Jean _ Beaton, District President of the W.I. who is also a member of Coulson W.I. The minutes were read and approved. A letter from P. Jane Sills, Home Economist for North Simcoe, was read. There are to be two training schools in the fall. An extra attraction was a donkey called "Pauncho". His owners Betty and Marie Gadon of Severn Falls took the children at the picnic, for rides on Pauncho around the grounds of Canadiana. Betty also had four baby snowshoe rabbits which she fed _ by eyedropper, to the delight of the children. Eady United Church celebrated it's 89th an- niversary on Sunday, June 12. Special soloists were Irene and Jack Green- wood. Following the service a luncheon was provided by the Eady ladies. From the youngest to the eldest, all the piano pupils from the studio of Mrs. Shirley Eplett gave a grand performance at the annual recital last Thursday Evening. Adding to the enjoyable musical evening were the "Carousels'"' a group of teenage girl singers also under Mrs. Eplett's direction.
