Waubaushene news by Charlotte Gerdes Because of the un- settled weather con- ditions the monthly meeting of the United Church Women met at the home of Mrs. Isobel Mossman on Thursday afternoon on Feb. 10, instead of in the evening. There was a good at- tendance and Mrs. Mossman presided over = the meeting. » Mrs. Dorothy Bye conducted*the devotional service, and since this was Valentines month the theme was on "Love". There are many scripture readings pertaining to "Love". The annual] Presbyterial meeting will be held in Collingwood on March 9, and a motion was passed that the UCW would pay the bus fare for anyone wishing to attend. The bus will be passing through Waubaushene at 8 a.m. and the delegates are to bring their own lunch and beverage will be served. The World Day of Prayer will be held in the Waubaushene Memorial Church on March 4, at 7:30 p.m. It is hoped the - guest speaker will be the Rev. John Allsop. The members of the UCW, Anglican Guild and Catholic Women will provide a light lunch following the service. On May 12, at 8 p.m. in the same Church Mrs. Irene Vasey will give a talk and show film on Mission Work. The secretary Mrs. Polkinghorne will write and invite the members of the Coldwater, Eady United Church Women and the Anglican Guild. A post card from Rev. and Mrs. Ralph Pickering was passed around for the members to read. Do keep your Church in mind when you do that spring clean up job that's facing all of us very shortly. A Board of Management meeting is to be held on March 11, if you have any little problem or something you don't understand or have any suggestions to improve the Church building ete. now is the time to speak with your Board Member so it can be solved.
