Judith Wilcox weds Reg King The marriage of Judith (Judy)Anne Wilcox of Midland and Reginald David King of Port MeNicoll was solemnized in St. Paul's United Church Midland, on Saturday, July 3ist at 4 p.m. The church was decorated wifh vases of orange carnations and white daisies for the occasion. The ceremony was performed by Rev. N. Watson. Mrs. Joan Oster of Midland sang Handel's The Wedding Song and The Lord's Prayer during the ceremony and The Gift of Love during the signing of the register. She was accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Kathleen Mounteer. The bride, the daughter of Mrs. Kelvin Wilcox of Midland was escorted down the aisle by her brother Bruce. The bride made her own gown for the ceremony which was of white peau de soie with a round neckline, long sleeves and train. The bodice and sleeves were of imported lace. She carried a bouquet of white'~ daisies, orange car- nations and_ baby's breath. For something old, the bride carried an heirloom hankie which dates back to the First World War. This was a gift of her grandmother. Gail Wilcox of Midland, sister of the bride was the maid of honour. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Bruce Wilcox of . Hamilton, sister-in-law of the bride and Miss Georgina King of Midland, sister of the groom. They were gowned alike in full length gowns of orange flowered sheer with orange underskirts. The dresses were empire waist, with scoop necklines and_ short puffed sleeves. They wore orange picture hats trimmed in flowered sheer and carried baskets of orange carnations and baby's 'breath. Reginald David King is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David King: of Port MeNicoll. His best man was his brother William of Port MeNicoll. The ushers were Gary Wilcox, of Trenton, brother of the bride and Bernard King of Port McNicoll, brother of the groom. On Saturday, October 2 the association is holding its big dance of the year. This Thanksgiving Dance will be held at. the Country Mill and will feature the Varitones. Cost is $5 per person. On October 9 a 15-mile Bike-a-Thon will start out from the clubhouse. Regular monthly meetings of the association are held at the clubhouse the first Monday of each month. The Members had a very active sum- mer. having held a Garage Sale in June and assisted with the Tay- Waubaushene Fair in July, then held a tea and bake sale in August. Jones to take part in seminar Ellen was one of only three people in Ontario selected to attend the conference. She was chosen at a Provincial 4-H On' Saturday. October 16 the Centre Simcoe Plowing Match will be held at the farm of Bill Patterson, Lot 5, Con- cession 10, Sunnidale . A banquet will be held that evening at the Sunnidale Corners Hall.
