YMCA courses Offers long list of activites for winter Fall is just around the corner and I expect that most people would like to pick up a few hobbies to get them through the long winter months. Many of our last year programs will be offered BROOKLEA Motel & Dining Room Catering for Weddings, Banquets, Luncheons, Parties Meeting rooms available Highway 27 MIDLAND 526-9872 again this year to both our Y-members and non-Y- members. The following is a list of a few of those activities: fun club, bowling, handi crafts, ballroom dancing, bridge, archery, pottery. ladies -take-a-break, and many more regulars. Some new program ideas are: metric system, naturalists club, Mr. and Mrs. home fix it, ballet. quilting, astrology, debate club on current affairs, ete. If you should have a hobby or new program idea you would like to teach or get involved in please contact the program department. Babysitters are needed during the fall and in the winter months on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. If you are able to help out on any of these days please let us know. A young adult or adult is being looked for to operate a_ children's evening program, if you are interested in this type of volunteer work call Anne Bourgerois at 516- 7828. We still have openings in our Nursery for 3 and 4 year olds, beginning Sept. 27. For further information contact the Midland YMCA.
