Mario Galang of Bush Street. was a member of the Boys Basketball team. Mario's guest -for the weekend Brian Passerelloz, was also a basketball player Meredith Orr of Main Street. South. was a member of the Junior High School Volleyball team. This team defeated the Auburn girls three games straight in a five game match. Meredith billeted two teenage Auburn girls. Missy Gentile and Noelle Navarro. The girls were very involved in many sports. They competed in basketball, volleyball, and baseball The bus-loads of Auburn competitors began arriving at the Curling Club in Orillia. Friday afternoon, where the Coldwater athletes met them. In the evening hey marched in a parade from Orillia District High School, along West St. and Mississauga to Cen- tennial Park for the Official Opening and lighting of the torch for the Ist Annual CANUSA games. Many of. the people attended the Lions' Village Fair after the ceremonies. Saturday morning began a full day of sports events with the athletes commuting between the three Orillia High schools and approximately six sports fields. The Saturday evening en- tertainment and a firework display were held at Couchiching Park. On Sunday afternoon the closing ceremonies brought to an end a very exciting and friend making weekend.
