Folk Mass Group The Folk Mass Group played at the 7:15 mass on Saturday _hight at St. Ann's Church in Penetanguishene. The group has been playing and include: Father Vic Laurin, guitarist Ken Marion, bass guitarist Leonard Robitaille, Dennis Vaillancourt, Marilyn Bellehumeur, Nancy Swales, Donna Brooks, Elaine Robitaille, Madeline Maurice and Monique Exilda Cadeau Exilda (Roi) Cadeau died on Friday, March 26, 1976, at the Jay-Haro Nursing Home in Cold- water following a lengthy illness. She was in her 82nd year. Born the daughter of the late Moise and Celina Roi, she lived most of her life in Go Home Bay. She. is survived by her husband, Alphonse Cadeau of Port Severn, two daughters, Ber- nadette (Mrs. Raymond Casganette) of Port Severn and Winnifred (Mrs. Leonard Watts) of Orillia, six sons, Oliver, Alfred, Tom, Albert, and Bert of Port Severn, and Leo of Honey Harbour, a brother, Joseph King of Port Severn, three sisters, Anna (Mrs. Philip King) of Hillsdale, Louise (Mrs. Bert Watts) of Washago, and Rose (Mrs. Wilfred Paradis) of Honey Harbour, 37 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The funeral was held from Our Lady of Mercy Church in Honey Harbour on Monday. Interment North Simcoe obituary was in St. John's ce. m-eite ry in Waubaushene. Takes ski-doo An 18-year-old Victoria Harbour man received an absolute .discharge in provincial court in Penetanguishene 'after pleading guilty to taking a 74 Ski-doo. Gerard Willard Moreau abandoned the ski-doo a short way from the scene of the theft when it bogged down in heavy snow. Provincial judge N.J. Nadeau noted the offence was "more in the nature of a prank." Break and enter Lawrence John Lovell, a 20-year-old Toronto man, pleaded guilty to charges of break and enter and possession of stolen property -- in provincial court at Penetanguishene Thur- sday. | Lovell admitted breaking into cabins in the Penetanguishene area December 19 and removing tools and household goods. He was apprehended that day _ driving a stolen 1574 GMC in Tay township. A He told the court the cabin had been ransacked prior to the time he anda friend breke in. Damage in the cabin was ap- proximately $1000. Lovell's sentence was suspended for the length of.his 18 month probation. Guilty of assault A 25-year-old Coldwater _ man pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of a weapon for purpose of assault in provincial court in Penetanguishene Thursday. Robert Donald Vivian was charged November 26 after swinging a .303 calibre-rifle at a man he had had an argument with in a Waubaushene beverage room. When the rifle broke, Vivian threw part of the weapon at the man. The argument began when Vivian was alleged to have entered the bar using obscene language and, when the bartender cut him off, Vivian is supposed to have thrown a salt shaker in his direction. He was approached by another larger man in the bar when the argument began and Vivian went to the car to get the unloaded rifle. He was fined $250 and placed on probation for six months. He was forced to give up the rifle. Probation A Port MeNicoll man was placed on six months probation after pleading guilty to a charge of common assault. Wayne Woods was alleged to have struck his now estranged wife in the Port MeNicoll Inn last year. Fined $300 Wayne Simpson, 23, of Port MecNicoll was fined $300 and left on the balance of a previously imposed probationary period following an ap- pearance in _ provincial Jolicouer. court at Penetanguishene Thursday. Simpson pleaded guilty to a charge of theft under $200 August 2 when he stole $37 from the Delawana Inn in Georgian Township. Simpson had been placed on probation for 20 months when he was convicted of breaking and entering the previous May. Simpson's employer, Howard Monteith, ap- peared as a character witness for Simpson noting the accused had been employed by his masonry company since November. Monteith said Simpson was hired as a labourer but worked his way up to co-ordinator. '"He's my key man and the easiest guy I've ever had to work with,"' said Monteith. "Wayne Simpson can have a job with me any time." Judge N.J. Gabriel Santille, 23, was charged following complaints by Doug Scott and Ron Mark, both of Toronto. He was fined $400 lost his driving licence for a year and was forced to pay $325 for - damage to the Scott car. Scott and Mark com- plained Santille and two passengers in his car harrassed and tailgated them while they were southbound on Highway 103 August 4. They claimed they were being followed too closely on the highway and when Scott made an obscene gesture at the Santille car the occupants of the car court news the car off shoulder of the road. the Scott The complainants stated Santille followed them into Waubaushene where he cut off their car again and his' two passengers left their vehicle and attempted to damage the Scott car. Scott and Mark said one of the other passengers attempted to lift the hood and pull the coil wire from Scott's distributor and successfully cracked one side of the windshield before they began throwing rocks and bottles at the car. Santille told the court Scott would not let him pass on Highway 12 and he wanted to ask him why. Santille is a self em- ployed roofer.
