In Tiny Township In a small house on the eastern end of Wasaga Beach a small lady sits and waits for her wan- dering man to return, Wanderlust has taken him away from her and none can say when he will return, When last seen he was passing through Cawaja Beach and was later reported in the vicinity of Thunder Bay. Fortunately there is yet no family, no little one neglected, no child crying in the night for the father who would rather wander than stay at home. It is just a lonely vigil on the part of a lonely lady wondering if her man will return The man in question is to put it simply up to some monkey business. No, this is not a figure of speech. He really is up to monkey business for the wandering lover is really a 15 pound rhesus monkey and he really is wandering through Tiny Township. He was spotted a week ago by some cottagers at Cawaja Beach and later reported seen at Thunder Bay in the north end of Tiny Township. Wanderlust strikes He escaped two weeks ago from the Wasaga Beach Zoo and in the words of Bill Berube, the zoo's manager, he's a "real escape artist." Berube said that the escapee is smart and that this is not his first stint at the free and easy life. The zoo manager doesn't know where he came from originally since he was brought to the zoo after being caught near Tobermory. At that time he had wandered from Goderich and Owen Sound. Berube warned that if someone spotted the monkey he should not make any attempt to capture him for he will bite. Rather, call the zoo and they'll attempt a capture either with nets or tranquilizer guns. But it will have to be in a field, In bush, the monkey's in his natural element and will easily give his would-be captors the slip. So if on Saturday night when you make your way unsteadily home from the hotel and you see a monkey, you may not need the pledge. Rather, it may be only the wandering lover boy seeking his way in a harsh world.
