Open House Play entitled "'What Hath God Wrought" at Parkview School in Midland starting at 7:30 p.m. The first session in a five-week marriage course begins at St. Ann's Church in Penetanguishene tonight at 8 p.m. Discussions will cover communication in marriage, maturity, love, family planning, budgeting, and other aspects of a Christian marriage. The meeting will be held in the basement of the church. Guides and Brownies. The theme is "Thinking Day". The meeting in the basement of St. Ann's A meeting of the Penetanguishene Horticultural Society will be held at 8 p.m. in the Library Hall. Egon Schwauss of the Roll Photo Shop will show films on Canada. A luncheon will be served. All are welcome. There's not much we can do about the snow and cold weather except dream about the summer and the return of warm weather, but there is something that can be done about the traditional long lineups at the end of the month to get new license plate stickers. That could mean longer than normal Jineups at the end of the month. Yet there is no need for longer lineups if you take only a couple minutes to complete the license renewal process before the last two or three days in February. Computer card renewal PSS's rock and roll king and queen Two Penetanguishene Secondary School students, Brian Bidan (grade 12), and Monique Lacroix (grade 10), collected fistfulls of cash at PSS's weekend dan- ceathon. The event started at 8 p.m. on Friday night and continued non-stop (except for 10 minute hourly breaks) until 8 p.m. on Saturday night. A total of 69 students gathered sponsors and most of them danced around the clock to raise money for the PSS dance band. Brian Pilon, sponsored to the tune of $11.40 per hour collected the most money -- $273.60. Monique Lacroix danced at the rate of $6.47 per hour to collect a total of $155.28. Rocking round the clock was worth it for Brian and Monique. Brian won the top prize of $100 for being the highest sponsored dancer to complete the marathon. The forms are straight forward and easy to fill out if instructions are followed. Once filled out all a car owner has to do is bring the completed form, vehicle registration and, alas, the required amount of money to the licensing office. If these simple steps are followed, and if you do it very soon, well before the end of the month, it will only take a few minutes to get your 1975 license plate sticker. If not, expect to wait for two or three hours in a lineup at the end of the month. It's your choice. Teresa Howe dead at 94 Teresa Howe died on February 2, 1975 at the Penetanguishene General Hospital after a brief illness. She was 94 years old. Born in Penetanguishene on July 4, 1880 to Isaac and Catherine (Callaghan) Howe (both deceased) she spent all her life in this area at what is known as Howe's Corners, Vinden Street and Highway 27. Her last few years however, were spent at Georgian Manor. Funeral services were held at St. Ann's Church on February 5, 1975 with Father L. Dignard presiding.
