Dubeau who served as chairman of the 1967 Cen- tennial committee said he would not have taken the job if he was not sure the support from the people. of Penetanguishene was there. While the committee is not officially selected yet Dubeau said half the members have been chosen An old home week, a parade and a fireworks display were mentioned as some of the events which will probably be run_ on Penetanguishene's _Cente- nary Day which is June 28. Jim Uram Tiny planner chosen The Tiny-Tay Peninsula Planning staff has selected a new assistant planner to replace Paul Mason who left to take up a planning position with the provincial govern- ment in mid-December. Jim Uram, a 25-year-old graduate with a degree in urban planning began working with the TTPPB a week ago. Uram spent two years at Waterloo University before transferring to Ryerson Last summer he worked for the Tiny-Tay Peninsula Planning Board as a student hired through funds from the Involvement in Municipal Administration Program Obituary: Harold Ball dies at 53 Mr. Harold Ball died on January 7, 1975 at the Penetanguishene General Hospital after a brief illness. He was 53 years old. Born in Midland on June 7, 1922 to Fred and Vera Ball he spent most of his life in this area. He was an engineer at Beck's Box Factory for nine years and for the last ten years he worked at Bay Mills. He was also a school trustee S.S. no. 23, R.R. 2 Penetanguishene for ap- proximately eight years. Funeral services were held at St. Ann's Church on January 10, 1975 with Father L. Dignard presiding. Burial took place at St. Ann's Cemetery, Penetanguishene. Pallbearers were Charlie Ward, John Roberts, Roland Kuerzdorser, David and John Ball and Sam Boucher. Out-of-town friends and relatives attending the services came from Barrie, Minesing, Midland, Dun- dalk, Toronto, Elmvale and Port MeNicoll. Mr. Ball is survived by his wife Elsie Boucher, son Stephen and granddaughter Stephanie of Penetanguishene, parents, Fred and Vera Ball of Midland, brother Eric of Minesing and nephew Gordon Deschamps.
