TERRACE BAY SKI CLUB ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING Sunday, November 17, 1991 at 7:00 p.m. Terrace Bay Recreation Centre Everyone Welcome! Cash for conservation This energy efficient lamp was just one of the many ways of conserving energy suggested at an Energy Forum held at the Aguasabon Golf Club on Oct. 30. The gathering was sponsored by the Northwestern Ontario Associated Chambers of Com- merce (NOACC), in association with the Ontario Ministry of Energy. The forum was aimed at com- mercial building owners, and speakers informed the audi- ence about ways to cut down on their energy costs. One NOACC program offers free energy audits for building owners, while a spokesperson for Ontario Hydro outlined how it plans to spend $6 billion over the next 25 years on cash incentives to encourage people to conserve energy. Hydro is spending the money on the conservation plan, rather than build another nuclear power plant, which would cost an estimated $12 billion, and in any case has | been forbidden by the NDP.
