In the context of a strong new initiative sup- ported jointly by. the Ontario Ministries of Community and Social Services, Health, Education, Northern Development and Mines, North of Superior Programs (support- ed by the Ministry of Community and Social Services) is now building a MULTI-DISCI- PLINARY TEAM (to be coordinated with other professionals supported by the Ministries of Health and of Education). Program objectives for the Team include the creation of accessible services for difficult-to- serve children and families in a rural remote context. Delivery of services will emphasize a consultation model utilizing Team-generated assessments and treatment plans. The following positions are available: SATELLITE WORKERS 1 position - Terrace Bay, Ontario 1 contract position to March 31, 1991 - renewable for Nipigon/Red Rock, Ontario Requirement: M.S.W., M. A. (or equivalent) (B.S.W. with significant experience may be considered). Both positions require professionals commit- ted to: - a collegial team-working approach - an orientation to the provision of ser- vices in culturally and linguistically appropriate contexts. Both positions require: - prior clinical experience with children and families - experience in providing consultative services to various community-based service delivery systems - the availability of a motor vehicle. Prior experience in the provision of mental health services in a rural context would be an asset. To qualify for the program, a family must: a Contain at least one individual over the age of 65 years; or who is handicapped; and = Not contain any person physically capable of performing the snow removal which is to be supplied under this program; and 3. Be the sole occupant group of the dwelling unit served by the driveway to be cleared under the program; and 4. Have an application completed by an individ- ual within the family unit stating that he/she/they are financially unable to make arrangements for driveway snow removal by any other means. : . Driveways serving commercial properties or multi- ple dwellings will not be cleared under this program.
