Born on March 10th, 1911 at Keewatin, Ontario she lived for a time in Matawin, Ontario before moving permanently to Schreiber in 1933. Iris was a dearly loved wife, mother, grandmother and great grand- mother. An ardent artist and member of the Art Club many of her lovely oil paintings grace the homes of her family and friends. She was a mem- ber of St. John's. Anglican Church, St. John's Anglican Church Auxillary, Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxillary, Ruby Rebbeca Lodge, and Kinettes. Survived by her daughters Carol Lafrance and husband Bert of Timmins, Ontario and Linda Turner and husband Alan of McKenzie B.C. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchil- dren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by her first. hus- band Carl Jacomb, mother & father, sisters Nada Alcock and Letty Shear and her brother Bert Barley. Her hus- band Robert Bruce Lidkea passed away on September 6th, 1990. Funeral Services were held on Tuesday September 4th, 1990 at 3 p.m. from St. John's Anglican Church. Cremation followed Cemetery. After retiring from C.P.R. as a conductor in October 1972 Bruce along with his wife Iris enjoyed sev- eral years of travel and visit- ing all over Canada. For. the past several years Bruce self- lessly devoted his life to the loving care and comfort of his wife Iris who was infirm. Member of the Kinsmen Club, Associate Member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Schreiber Bowling League, Schreiber Curling Club and Chimo Club. Survived by daughters Carol Lafrance and husband Bert of Timmins, Ontario and Linda Turner and husband Alan of McKenzie B.C.
