What has been a game is now becoming an exer- cise. As with all exercises in KPT it is important to have the puppy thoroughly enjoying what he is doing. Keep up the game, but start using the same words (com- mands) for each portion of the retrieving. Throw the ball or toy, and as the pup goes for it, apply the word you wish to use when you want him to pick it up - "Fetch", "Get it", "Take it", whatever you feel the most comfortable using. As the pup starts to put his mouth on it, use the same happy praise you were using in the game, but 7 would like ta thank Dr. Wilkes, mors and 7 necetued-For flowers, cards and visits to me while in hospital. He loved to fish and hunt and spend his time enjoying his cottage. Survived by his wife Bernice of Terrace Bay, daughter, Tequila (Mrs. Robert Cooper) of Kingston, son Tyrone of St. Thomas, grandsons Thomas, Alexander and Daniel, all of Kingston, brothers Steve of Fisher Branch, Manitoba; Frank of Winnipeg, sisters, Marion of Weston, Ontario; Anne of B.C., and Joyce of Fisher-Branch, Manitoba. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Pre- deceased by daughter, Jo- Anne; father, William; moth- er, Maria; brothers Thomas and John and sister, Kay. Funeral Mass was held on Thursday April 19, 1990, at 2 p.m. from St. Martins R.C. Church. Cremation followed. Honorary Pallbearers were Ivan Johnson, Art Mecure, Joe Desaulniers, Nick Chopty, Pat Jones, Jack Hayes and Maurice Stark.
