Schreiber Receives Grant for $292,000 March 1, 1990-- The Town of Schreiber will receive a $292,000 provincial grant to upgrade its sewage treatment plant to provin- cial standards, Northern Development Minister Rene Fontaine has announced. "This upgrading will put an end to the development freeze and environmental problems hin- dering the community, and, in time, will also reduce operating costs for the township," Fontaine said. Low plant capacity had forced the community to limit develop- ment by order of an Environment Ministry building freeze. The planned improvements will increase the plant's capacity. The Ministry of the Environment is contributing $2 million toward the three-year, $2.63 million project. The Ministry of Northern Development and Mines grant covers half of the township's share under provincial funding formulas. INCOME TAX RETURNS Prepared Contact DAVID FALZETTA in Terrace Bay $25-9471
