FEE: $96.00 (Starts January 16) A- - CABINET/SHELE BUILDIN This 45-hour class will guide the participant through the basics of building simple shelves, cabinets, etc. Materials not included. GS 026 - ASSERTIVENESS TRAINING A 30-hour class which will help the student develp the skills necessary in negotiating for the things she wants at home, on the job, and in the community. Approximately 70 members aticnded. Ken Davis welcomed all those present and asked for a minute's silence in respect to the memory of Bill Moon, who passed away recently. A short resume of the Club's activities during the past ycar was given by Ken, and Pat Guina gave a short financial report. Reeve Mike Cosgrove spoke briefly as representative of the Town, accompanied by his wife, and presented the Club with 'Ln Memoriam Gerald Corrigan who passed away - December 24th, 1988. Nothing can ever take away The Love a heart holds dear. Fond memories Linger every day, Remembrance keeps him near. Sadly missed by the Corrigan Family a new flag with the Town Logo on it, which is already in place in the Clubroom, as of the next morning. A vote of thanks was extended to Jack Noonan for the work he has done at the Club over the ycars, and wished a "bon voyage" to their new home after the New Ycar in Ottawa, Ontario. Fred Harness spoke briefly and also stated that plans are . under way for the wind up of the Shuffleboard and Bridge Groups- to be held in the spring, and also hoped that the Bridge group would avail themselves to join this year. The musical group scnt their regrets as they were unable to atlicnd. Beth Macadam, Past President, presided for the instal- lation of the officers for 1990, as each took his oath of office: President: Mr. Ken Davis; 1st Vice President: (absent); 2nd Vice Pres: Mrs. Alma Hart; Treasurer: Mr. Pat Guina: Secretary: Mrs. Helen Jartus; Trustee: Mr. Arthur LeBlanc. Santa Claus arrived,in full regalia to the enjoyment of all present. Mr. Monk of Terrace Bay more than ably fulfilled his duties as he distributed the gifts to each member personally, assisted by Elves Eva Gordon and Pat Guina. Many of the members adjourned to the clubrooms for shuffleboard and bridge and cards which rounded out a very delight- ful evening.
