Monthly reports were given by Flora Bryson. : Among the projects approved for October and November were the Pot-Luck Supper on Sunday, October 22, with the Bishop Petersen attending. He will con- firm several candidates at the con- firmation service to follow at 7 p.m. Marg Morrill reported sending get well cards to members on the shut-in and sick list. Members were reminded to turn in their mitts for the Christmas parcel to go to Thunder Bay for the Christmas. Cheer Fund by the November meeting. It was also decided to accept the invitation of the Legion to cater to their Remembrance Day dinner on November 11. Christmas calendars were to be ordered and these will be available shortly. The parish Christmas Bazaar held annually is scheduled for Saturday, November 25 in the legion hall and all parishioners are being asked to donate. to the vari- ous booths to make it a success. Installation of officers for 1989- 90 for the Silver Birch Chapter #264, Order of the,Eastern Star was held. An impressive ceremony took place in the Masonic Hall in Terrace Bay on Thanksgiving evening when a team of visiting officers of the Eastern Star installed the officers of Silver Birch Chapter #264, Order of the Eastern Star. Members of the Installing Team were: Installing Officer, Millicent Shannon, P.M. assisted by Dorothy Rummery, P.D.D.G.M.; Installing Marshal, John McMullin, P.P. Installing Chaplain, Joe Shannon, P.P., Installing Organist, Gertrude Hill, P.M., Installing Warder, Norman Crockford, P.M. also attending were Mae McMullin, P.M., and Ida McLeod, P.M. of Argyle Chapter #10 from Thunder Bay. Jack Rummery with a gift from the officers, and dorothy Rummery presented him with a Bar to his Past Patron's Jewel and Certificate. Jack thanked everyone for the cooperation he had also received and wished the officers a very suc- cessful year. It was announced that the annu- al visit of the District Deputy Grand Matron and inspection will take place on Monday, December 11, 1989.
