The letter also urges members to invite other women with similar views to sign the petition. This action was taken as a result of a resolution passed unanimously at the League's 69th National President, Evelyn Wyrzykowski says, "this is a unique opportunity for Canadian women who value and respect human life at all stages of devel- opment, to make thcir voices heard by our government, loudly, clearly and in great numbers. We hope that they will take this opportunity to speak with a unit- ed voice on this important issue."
