I have lived here all my life and like most people, I have had my share of good times and bad times. Why do people like to hurt innocent people through gossip? You can't be so stupid to think that the people 'being talked about aren't going to find out. Why is it people are so jealous of other people? I though that being from a small community, people would be concerned and help in any way they possibly could. may Or may not have as many troubled times as single parents? People think people who are being helped out by the govern- ment and being handed brand new houses on a silver platter are so well off! I feel it's jealousy. We married people can have just as much as these other people but it's just a matter of being able to manage your money. Why are these mar- ried couples who have two incomes, bringing in $2,000 a month always broke? Because they have to have © brand new houses, two brand new cars, the best stereo on the mar- ket, raising 2, 3, or 4 children, they are going out every weekend and they expect to have $5,000 in the bank. : : I must say that it's us married people who are in debt and with problems, not the single parents. We must realize it's not easy to ld stop get ahead in today's society and we should give these single par- ents credit for trying to improve themselves. We know how hard it is rais- ing children with two parents, we must be able to imagine how hard it must be raising a child with one parent. Allow me to make one sugges- tion. We should sit back and think about what people are doing to each other. Maybe we are the ones with the problems and there- fore to cover our problems up, we are taking it out on innocent peo- ple, whether single or married. Think about it, let's stop hurting each other and let everyone be happy. Don't hurt the people who are happy and content just to cover up our unhappiness. The Commisso Family - FUNERAL ANNOUNCEMENT DUGGAN, MIMA MARGARET Mima passed away May 7th at McCausland Hospital following a lengthy battle. Mima was an active member in the C.W.L., Legion Br. 109 and Chimo Club. She was predeceased by her husband Henry Francis and her daughter Geraldine Frances. Surviving Mima are her son Lorne of Amherstburg, Ontario, her daughter Jane of Terrace Bay. Her Grandchildren Colin and Katherine Duggan of Amherstburg, Ontario, Kerri and Kim McColeman of Terrace Bay and Darryl and Scott Gorman of Terrace Bay. Funeral services were held in Holy Angels Catholic Church with Father Monahan and Father Campbell officiating. Internment was in the Schreiber Cemetery.
