The warranty on a motorcycle or motor-assisted bicycle is 30 days or 1,500 kilo- metres. Through follow up surveys, Rolfe said MITT has learned that about 15 to 25 per cent of people attending such seminars actually pursue a business plan and start a business. If it is a dog who has always had an outstanding temperament then you should consider first hav- ing the animal examined by your vet. A dog that suffers from arthritis, hip dysplasea, bladder stones, infections, injuries, broken bones, or who is pregnant or in the process of having puppies may bite when in pain. It is a response to pain that is uncontrollable - not a response to the person touching the animal. Always be careful when handling an animal in pain and avoid touch- ing the part of the body that is in pain. Grooming your pet can also cause problems. Remember to use praise, kindness and. an occasional biscuit to' keep him calm. Don't hit the dog if he becomes restless and uncontrollable - give him a break every 15 minutes. If you're working on a sensitive area, such as the ears and face, be extra careful since a dog may respond by biting your hand. Hitting a dog with your hand or newspaper or constantly pointing at him in anger creates a hand-shy When he is at a breaking point the first place he'll bite is your hand. Abuse only creates problems. It has never worked with children, adults and definitely not with an animal that has no way of under- Standing you. If your dog is a fear biter, these are dogs who are insecure and ncr- vous and who bark excessively, it is going to be almost impossible to change his behaviour. But if he is biting as a protector then you can change this behaviour. The best cure for any dog who bites is an obedience class. There you will lear how to correct your dog with the proper tools, such as a training choke collar and leash.
