Page 3; News, Wednesday, January 25, 1989 New pizza business offers more By Dave Chmara The newest business in Terrace Bay opened last Friday, and if you're hungry late at night, this is the place for you. J.C.T. Pizza, owned by Jacques Fillion, is located at 9 Radisson Ave., across from the Fire Hall. Fillion and his family have been hard at work since early December preparing their business for the opening. In fact, they only took two days off at Christmas they had so much work to do. Two days before the opening they were still cutting wood and panelling for the store. But it opened on time - as a matter of fact, people were calling the store half an hour before the scheduled noon opening time. J.C.T. Pizza offers more than just pizza. Spaghetti, pizza pops, rigattoni, hamburgers will also be on the menu. Homemade french fries, the Belair asks CP to kind Fillion was known for when he ran the Terrace Bay Chip Stand, will be available in the future, as soon as the required fire extin- guishing equipment comes in. Fillion will be putting in more long hours as the store will only be closed between five and seven hours a day. The store hours are Sunday through Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. to 12 midnight and Thursday to Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 am. They will be offering breakfast during the morning hours and everyday from 4:00 p.m. till clos- ing will be offering a delivery ser- vice. No more trips in the cold, late at night for that late evening snack. Fillion said they have a wide variety of toppings for pizzas, and that what they don't have, they'll try to get. In the future, Fillion hopes to reconsider move Continued from page 2 objections to your concept of locat- ing your operating in larger centres. As a newly elected Member of Parliament, I am most concerned about companies relocating their staff to larger urban centres. These decisions appear to be made with- out any consideration of the long term contribution made by the employees and their families to those companies and the communi- ties in which they live. Our young _.people, who then lack employment opportunities, have no choice but to move South. We, as Northerners, are faced with the grim fact that this erosion of experience and talent could eventually have some drastic effects on the North's economy. Municipal councils and local road boards are making serious efforts to improve the quality of life of their citizens. It is not by reduc- Happy Sweet Sixteen Love Mom, Dad and Gregg ing their tax base that they will continue to do so. In conclusion, Mr. Foot, does CP Rail foresee any offer of com- pensation to the Township of Schreiber? If not, may I respectful- ly suggest that you meet with Township officials and negotiate an agreement where both parties would benefit. I thank you for your attention in this matter.
