No. 2 pulp mill produced a record 83 percent prime-grade pulp in October, surpassing the previous mark of 81 percent prime-grade pulp set in June 1980. In the latter half of the month, No. 1 and No. 2 mills produced 85 percent and 92 percent prime-grade pulp, respectively. No. 2 pulp mill digester efficiency was 92 percent of target The number of digester cooks was 2,341--surpassing the previous record of 2,277 set in August 1982.
