This is a great beach area with a lot of potential. I myself would like to see it developed. Why bother! wieners and have a swim. I was amazed at the amount of broken glass in and around the fire pit. I spent 45 minutes picking up broken pieces of rum, wine and beer bot- tles. So I ask the ones that like to have a smashing party -- take your parties to your back yards and bust It was an impossible task since the pieces I got were the larger ones. I would say, to clean this yp your bottles there! properly, you would have to sift a 25 ft.2 area around the fire pit. Sincerely upset, I would hate to think of the Jane Santerre cans, bottles, and a set of bed springs. Keep our beautiful, natural beach clean Dear editor, I wonder how many residents in this town have noticed the great job Ray Cornfield and his people have donc in cleaning up the beach and underbrush around town? These people deserve a 'pat on the back' from all of us. Well done! Last night we were down to our beautiful beach to watch the surf, and lo and behold garbage was left there again by some irresponsible adult or child. These people have the strength to carry their goodies to the trash area. For the life of me, I can't understand why they can't or will not put the remains in a bag and take it home to their garbage con- tainers instead of dropping it at their feet. Not all towns in this province have a natural, beautiful beach like Terrace Bay, and the people have taken this for granted. They don't appreciate this precious resource we have at our doorstep to enjoy. Let's concentrate on helping Roy and his people keep Terrace Bay a real Gem of the North. S. Love Readers say that the beach holds much potential, but all must take responsibility for keeping it clean.
