However, there was a large crowd on hand for the Horseshoe Pitch held at the Moose grounds. Winners were: lst Hilda Engler and Joyce Gilmore; 2nd Debbie Shaw and Liz Benton, 3rd Adeline Chappell and Judy Joubert. Men's event: Ist Ed Nicol and Joe Tees; 2nd Richard Roy and Jim Bailey; 3rd Fred Goslin and Frank Allard. The week-long Canada Day events wound up with a Youth crowd was small but those who attended had a good time. All in all, the Canada Day events went over very well much to the delight of the committee. We have had some good comments and some bad comments. However, good or bad, it is the comments of the public that help us in the plan- ning of the Canada Day Celebrations. Already, the wheels are in motion and we are making plans for next year.
