If the notice is sent by mail, the Landlord and Tenant Act assumes it is delivered on the third day after mailing. A notice from the tenant must be given to the landlord 60 days before the last day of the final month of tenancy, for weekly tenancies at least 28 days before the final day of the final week of tenancy or for fixed tenancies, at least 60 days before the last day of the tenancy.
