People keep saying: "Spring is just around the corner, but it's one heck of a long block to get to it." However, I guess we are hardy souls and we can make it O.K. Our good card playing friends were in on Tuesday March 15 and enjoyed an afternoon of cards. One of our residents, Pam Waghorn, won the trophy for the highest score in Bridge in 1987. "Congrats." Our St. Patrick's Day Tea was a very happy day, and as usual we were glad to see our many friends. At this time, I would like to thank the ladies of the Birchwood Auxiliary for their hard work on our behalf. Also thanks to all who donated goodies and sandwiches; everything was so good. I would like to thank Mary Chadwell for the tablecloth she made and donated.
