Robyn LeBlanc and her son Aaron Raymond received a Bunnykin Clock. (More on the New Year's baby in this issue). -Paul Sigurdson, the Terrace Bay Council representative on the McCausland Hospital Board of Governors, reported on recent board activities. It was agreed that he would provide quarterly reports to council in the future. - Clerk Treasurer Dave Fulton reported that a panel discussion will be held at the Thunder Bay District Municipal League concerning Birchwood Terrace. - Town Engineer Doug Baker was authorized to attend the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines' Northwestern Ontario Regional Geoscience Seminar on February 9th and 10th in Thunder Bay at the expense of the municipality. - council has accepted the proposal from Terra Surveys Ltd. for preparation of base maps for the waterfront development study, in the amount of $3,378. - Councillor Chris Joubert will attend the N.W.O.P.R.S. profession- al development seminar in Thunder Bay on Feb. 19th at the expense of the municipality. : - a bylaw has been passed that authorizes the municipality to enter into a contract for swimming pool building renovations. -the resolution was carried that the township approve application to the Ministry of Tourism and Recreation for funding under the Wintario Capital Conservation Program for repairs and upgrading to the recreation centre in the amount of $43,149.50. This is a three-ring circus with lions, tigers, elephants, a trapeze wire act, clowns, juggler and also a bear act and the kangaroo box- ing act. You will learn how to decorate with fabric, paper, tin, etc. This program will be presented in late spring depending upon sufficient registration. Introduction to interior design- We are taking names for this program which will be pre- sent by Sheila Harvey, Interior Design Consultant from Private Space in Thunder Bay. Subjects covered will range from wallcoverings, paint finish- es, window treatments and floor plans.
