C.W.L. bazaar is fast- approact The General Mecting of St. Martin of Tours C.W.L was held Monday, September 14, in the parish hall with 25 members pre- sent. Sharyn welcomed a new mem- ber. The mecting opened with the League Prayer, followed by a decade of the Rosary to show more devotion to Mary, this being the Marian Ycar. A Scripture reading was read by Marg. Minutes of the previous mcct- ing were read by Marilyn. The treasurcr's report was then given, followed by convenors' reports and correspondence. Marg gave a report on the Liturgical Workshop she attended in Thunder Bay. Stuart Riddell elected as delegate of Zone 28 Stuart Riddell, a member of the Manitouwadge Trappers' Council, has been elected as the delegate of Zone 28 to the Annual Meeting for election to the Board of Directors of the Ontario Trappers' Association, North Bay, Ontario. Riddell has served one term as director. This mecting was held at Russells' Landing (near Manitouwadge) on Saturday, September 12, 1987, at 2:30 p.m. as all Zone 28 trappers were advised. The mecting was chaired by Roger Moffat of Kapuskasing. As there was not an estab- lished quorum of 20 voting mem- bers, the meeting was postponed until 4 p.m. There being no other nomina- tions from the mecting, Stuart Riddell was duly-clected as the delegate of Zone 28. This meeting was held in con- junction with the Manitouwadge Trappers' Fall Field Day of trapsetting competitions, for all members of the family and gamcs followed by a Pig Roast Dinner. The weather co-operated. Roger Moffat announced that there would be a Trappers' Workshop, Saturday, October 24, 1987, in Hornepayne, Ontario. All are welcome to attend. Marlene Turner. On June 24, Marilyn presented Bibles to the Gr. 8 graduates from St. Martin School. There was a good attendance at our booth at the Fall Fair. Two emergency Resolutions were read and a motion made; after discussion they were then voted on. The bazaar is fast-approaching and members are urged to have their knitting in to Peggy Helmink by Oct. 10. The Regional Tour is in Marathon Sept. 29, with Mass at 7 p.m. at Holy Saviours Church.
