Mrs. Prina Gerow and Mrs. Freda Gerow convened the event. The clothing and toy booths were in charge of Mrs. Joan Smith and Mrs. Laura Legault. Mrs. Prina Gerow and Mrs. Freda Gerow did a thriving business at the home furnishings and furni- ture department. Mrs. Pat Beno sold the display of home baking which was soon purchased by the many cus- tomers. Mrs. Doris Legault con- vened the sandwich and coffee bar- pop was available for the children. There were three draws with Anne Todesco selling the: tickets on an afghan to be drawn on Derby Day. Lynne McGrath had charge of the 50-50 draw tickets which was won by Dan McGrath. Josephine Kenney and Bart Kusik sold the tickets on an electric fry- ing pan which was won by Brenda Yattman of Schreiber. Some clothing was given to a needy family in the area. Comings and goings at Rossport Alfred and Frances Gerow of Christopher Lake, Sask., are visit- ing the Eugene Gerow family. William and Debbie Douglas of Webbwood, Ont., are guests of their Aunt, Mrs. Anne Todesco. Mr. J. Iddison of Bracebridge, Ont., is visiting his son Dave and family. Miss Cathy Gerow has left for London, Ont., to take a course in insurance techniques. Vickie Armstrong is home from the Terrace Bay hospital. Mrs. Hilda Mushquash has returned from Nipigon Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Legault and Mrs. Anne Todesco were Lakehead visitors during the week. The award of excel- lence, part of the Canada Fitness Program, is a national program that recognizes fitness. Only 10 per cent of Canadians receive this prestigious award, Terrace Bay figure skating wind-up Terrace Bay Figure Skating Wind-up Our Get-together was held on May 24, 1987, at the curl- ing club. Most parents and children attended. Games and bricolage were part of the activities planned by this year's Presi- dent, Laurie DesRosiers. A lunch was prepared by the mothers of the children and enjoyed by all. Tracy Clark, this year's coach, presented the children with their well-deserved badges.
