Terrace Bay to hold C.W.L convention C.W.L. Convention The members of the Saint Mar- tin of Tours Council of the Catholic Women's League, Terrace Bay, are pleased to be hosting this year's 34th annual C.W.L. Diocesan Convention. This 3-day event will be held on May 5, 6, and 7, and league members from all parishes of the Diocese, and their Spiritual Direc- tors are invited to attend. Dolores Morriseau, convention committee chairperson, Lillian Belliveau, her co-convenor, and all of the members of the committee have been very busy for several months planning and preparing for the convention. It has been a huge undertaking but all of the plans are beginning to fall into place. All events of the conventions will take place mainly between St. Martin's Church and the St. Mar- tin school gym. Mass will be celebrated each day of convention in St. Martin's Church. The luncheons on Wednesday, May 6, and Thursday, May 7, will be served in the Church hall, while the banquet on May 6 will be held at the Moose Hall. During the Mass, celebrated on May 7. the new incoming officers of our Diocesan Council will be of- ficially installed. It is estimated that approximate- ly 200 people will be attending this event. The deadline for registration is April 15. A person may register for either part of or all of the conven- tion. However, anyone wishing to attend must be a C.W.L. member in good standing. This means that you must have a 1986-87 membership. Of course, the celebration of the Eucharist throughout the convention is for all who wish to attend. The general theme of the con- vention is "Our Stewardship in Church Renewal". This theme will be brought up and discussed during the various sessions and workshops of the convention. For information concerning registration, please call Carolyn McLeod, registration convenor. For other convention informa- tion, please call Dolores Morriseau or Lillian Belliveau. As always, we pray that God will continue to bless and guide our preparations, the convention, and all who attend. Submitted by Marylyn Turcotte 825-9412.
