Students were dismissed at the regular time on Friday, March 13. Happy holidays! Kindergarten registration will be held on Wednesday, April 1, at 1:30 p.m.. Children born in 1983 are entitled to attend Junior Kindergarten. New _ Senior Kindergarten students are also welcome to register at this time. Programs Feeling Yes, Feeling No- One of the goals we have, as a staff, established for this year, is the im- plementation of a Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Program. We have chosen the National Film Board Program called Feel- ing Yes, Feeling No. This program consists of videotatpes and in-class activities. Further details will be sent out in the near future. Opportunities for Tomorrow's Women Conference- Feb. 20-21 Four Grade 8 students from the Schreiber Public School travelled to this conference along with about 20 others from the schools in the Lake Superior board. The follow- ing are three reports from those who attended. Patti Quinton also attended and she had another writing assignment. Thunder Bay trip- "We left the school at about 4 p.m. and travell- ed by bus. When we got there we went to our rooms and went to get something to eat. We stayed at the Airlane Motor Hotel. "'We had to get up at 6.a.m. so that we would be ready for 7 a.m. We left for the college at about 8 a.m. When we got there we had a lec- ture about what kind of jobs women could have. Then we went to our sessions. We all had three sessions to attend. "The one I enjoyed was 'Women in the Media'. Jt was about how women are always treated as sex symbols in movies, videos and televsion shows. It was a geat trip. We learned a lot from the sessions. We all had a wonderful time. We stayed at the Airlane and we managed to go to Intercity for a quick shopp- ing trip and then back to the Airlane. "Feb. 21 we were up at 7 a.m. and down to the restaurant for breakfast and then down to the col- lege. At the college, we all had three workshops each. My workshops were Social Work, Cop- ing with Stress and Body Alive. 'I really enjoyed the Body Alive. We got to get up and dance.
