Jack Patterson expressed the pleasure he had when, together with Elizabeth McLean, he presented a che- que on behalf of D.A.G. to Rick Hansen and also made him an honorary member of our organization. They had their picture taken together. It proved an inspiration to members able to watch Rick's arrival and reception. The shortened meeting was follow- ed by a very enjoyable evening of cards Phillip Bailey continued from page 6 As with Al Green, Phillip Bailey's richly textured voice appeals to those who appreciate fine soul funk render- ings. His mellow, bluesy intonations stay pretty close to home, straying lit- tle from that conservative, stylized jazz/soul of today. Phillip Bailey is to be commended for following his heart, leaving himself wide open to detractors. Triumph is a refreshing shower of living water, communicating optimism in a world of pessimists.
