The Schreiber Recreation Depart- ment offers information for this issue about the upcoming winter carnival, aerobics, a sewing course and the Canada Day dance. Winter Carnival The 1987 Winter Carnival will be held during the March Break (March 14-22) and not in February as previous- ly advertised. The recreation department is in desperate need of groups and organiza- tions willing to organize and sponsor such events as; the ice sculpture con- test, snow baseball tournament, card tournaments, children's games and ac- tivities, road hockey tournament and any other special events that could be incorporated into the Winter Carnival. A traditional part of celebrating Robert Burns' bir- thday is the eating of Haggis. One man who does not like Haggis is Mike Kenny, above centre. If your group is interested in organizing any of these activities please attend the Winter Carnival meeting to be held Monday, February 2, at 7:30 p.m. in meeting room 1 at the recreation complex. Aerobic Classes Afternoon and evening classes will be held Tuesday and Thursday from 1:30-2:30 p.m. and 7:30-8:30 p.m. beginning Tuesday, January 27. Interested persons are reminded to register at the recreation office before they attend classes. Sewing Course The recreation department will be offering another basic sewing course Ugh!
