The Northwestern Ontario Sports Hall of Fame invites sports groups and the general public to submit to its In- duction Selection Committee the names. of persons or teams that have con- tributed to the sports heritage of Nor- thwestern Ontario. Qualifications To qualify as a nominee for election as an Honoured Member to the Nor- thwestern Ontario Sports Hall of Fame, an athlete, builder or team must meet the following conditions: General: 1) A nominee must be a Canadian Citizen and either born in Northwestern Ontario or a resident of Northwestern Ontario during the period of time that the nominee developed the skills that Legion On Dec. 13, 1986, the Legion held its annual Children's Christmas Party. Athlete: 1) Must fall within one of the two following categories: a) one who has performed as a professional b) an amateur who has competed at the local, provincial, national or interna- tional level 2) Not normally considered until after a three-year waiting period following either: a) retirement from major competition or b) the performance of a particularly outstanding achievement. Builder: 1) A person, other than an athlete, who has meritoriously served in the field of sport in a capacity such as an hews Vacancies exist for three commit- tees.
