Community outreach "people to people" Here are the final dates and times for the community outreach pickup and dropoff for this coming weekend in Ter- race Bay. Friday, Dec. 12: The fire hall will be open and a van will be at Simcoe Plaza for dropoffs from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13: The fire hall will be open and a van will be at Simcoe Plaza for dropoffs and two trucks will be going through town to your houses from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14: The fire hall wiil be open for dropoffs and a van and the No. 2 truck will be going through town to your houses from. 1:30-4 p.m. Coffee and donuts will be offered at the fire hall during the three days. The outreach was mainly organized by loca!l-clergy and the fire department to aid those in need during the holiday season. The dona- tions will go to Terrace Bay, Schreiber, Rossport and Pays Plat, and what remains will be sent to Thunder Bay. Hercules The final match of international wrestling at the Schreiber Communi- ty Centre last Sunday pitted Peurto Rico's Hercules Ayala against Dan Kroffat of Thunder Bay. The Fourth Annual Mite Tournament in Terrace Bay on Dec. 6 pro- vided players and fans alike with plenty of action. (More information on page 7). Wrestling fever comes to town The crowd roared their approval when the commentator introduced Kroffat, but unfortunately, he lost the match to the Puerto Rican. A good time was definitely had by all. Joe Lightfoot and Sunny War Cloud lost their bout to Sheik Ali and Rick Charland, and this lead to the final bout between Thunder Bay's Dan Kroffat and Hercules Ayala. The Schreiber Recreation Centre boomed to the clashes between, heavyweight wrestlers last Sunday and no one left without a smile on their face. The centre wasn't packed, but there was a fair-sized crowd that yelled, screamed, cursed and booed the spandex-clad maniacs who wrestled for close to two hours. Armand Rougeau and Gino Brito Jr., with a combined weight of 464 pounds, teamed together to start the evening against Goldie "Nature Boy"' Rogers and Pretty Boy Simms. The latter two are comedians at heart and combined good-humored antics with playful wrestling. It might look bone-crushing on television, but one could tell that night it's all for fun. Ian Huchkinson 'battled' against Rocky Della Serra, Leo Burke pound- ed fists with Bob Della Serra and Gerry Morrow clashed with Sweet Daddy Seke. Seke was a joker and as soon as he stepped into the ring, he only had eyes for a girl at ringside. He looked like a well-built Redd Foxx. These guys, as well as a few others, were all over the place. Morrow was thrown out of the ring and 'stumbled' to the edge of the rink near the boards.
