Master of Ceremonies, Rick St. President Jim Corrigan and Sec- retary Linda Orlesky were then call- ed upon to present the various awards. The Season Championship Plaque was presented to the Tigers, as were mugs donated by O.V. Specially donated awards were then presented to the playoff runners- Sechesky gets pin Frank Sechesky of Terrace Bay, at left, was presented with a soapstone sculpture and a 40-year pin by Kimberly-Clark of Canada President Jack Lavallet at the K-C Quarter Century Club annual dinner on Oct. 3. Also on hand were Sechesky's wife Lillian, at far right, and Lavallet's wife Martha. Out of school? Out of work? Under 257 up, the Goodtimers. Next were the Kimberly-Clark playoff trophy and individual Tall Boy trophies, with were all presented to the Bandits. Playoffs MVPs went to Bob Bag- don of Goodtimers and Lucien Ther- iault of the Bandits. Helen Hermes was then called as a representative of the Ladies League. She presented the MVP trophies to the following team players: Moore's, ~ Darryl Davis; Janod, Diane O' Neill; Little Shitz, Tanya Evoy and Leo Levesque; Roxanne Gusda. Most Sportsmanlike Player troph- si€S were presented to: Moore's, Marianne Kostiuk; Janod, Cindy Thompson; Little Shitz, Marianne Kostiuk and Leo Levesque; Wendy Pluta. The evening then wound to a close with dancing to the music of Nick Duchane. Winnie's Scribbles By Winnie Campbell The Anglican Church meeting on Oct. 1 had a good attendance. The President welcomed all, after a recess. The minutes were read, as was the treasurer's report. An ACW meeting will be held on Oct. 18. All are welcome. The United Church will be used for the meeting and we will have lunch in our Parish Hall. Communion will be at 10 a.m. for all. Readers and greetings were sel- ected. There will be a lunch donated by the Ladies of the Dew Drop In Centre. Hazel moved that we send a good donation to the centre for needy people. All were in favour. A penny auction will be held on Oct. 24, Friday afternoon, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. The Christmas Bazaar will be held on Nov. 29. There are tickets available from any of the members for two sweaters. Mrs. Joan Leblanc will be the con- ventor. There will be a Christmas tree for the children. Alice Miller will wrap the little gifts. The meeting clos- ed with prayers and lunch served by Shirley and Flo. Visiting friends from Vancouver is Mrs. Alice McGregor. Welcome back from hospital Fred Harness. The CWL penny auction, bake sale and tea was held on Sunday afternoon in the Town Hall with a good atten- dance. Thanks to all who donated and helped.
